Losing my head

It has been quiet here the past few weeks.

But now this blog is back in full force!

Due to my participation in an online book club, I wrote three articles on my former Dutch blog.

The book in question was Het geheime leven van schrijvers by Guillaume Musso.

Normally I wasn't going to write any articles about it at all. But as the Dutch translation was só bad, I decided to compare it with the original French text La vie secrète des écrivains.

For those who understand Dutch or who don't mind to use Google Translate, here are the direct links to my articles:

        1. Het geheime leven van schrijvers

        2. Musso in een nieuw jasje?

        3. Vertaling of origineel?

My final review of the book can be read here.

After the book club, came a few extremely busy work weeks which caused a lack of time to read or blog.

Did you know that I even forgot to post an article I wanted to share with you on Halloween?

With all the things going on, I was losing my head.

Luckily not in the sense of the art I'm going to show you today (a few days later than planned) 😉

Again it was the book Wild Art that made me discover the rather unknown but very talented artist Kittiwat Unarrom, a baker from Ratchaburi (Thailand).

Curious to know what's so special about his works? Discover it in following movie.

And remember: it's just bread!

If you'd like to read more about this artist, you can read the text of AP Archive that belongs with the video above.

You can also head over to the article of Amusing Planet which has some amazing photographs 😄

  1. What the effin flying f*ck, Tau?! Never order or buy bread in het central part of Thailand: Check. I'd like to see the look on the face of my family on a peaceful morning when they open the customary sunday pastry box with a lump of bread like that in it. Priceless. An it's a good thing that I'm fluent in central Thai (my Lao is a bit shaky though) - but then I discovered you included a link to the text and that helped a bit too, I'll admit. Oh yes, and many thanks for the second link, especially so close before supper. Now I'm suddenly reconsidering my status as a full-blown carnivore.
